Field Trip - North Georgia Mountains

Last Sunday, we took a trip to the North Georgia Mountains to see Uncle Randy (Brian's brother) and Aunt Kay (Brian's sister-in-law). The boys were so excited about going on a trip -- Uncle Randy had told them that he has a tractor! Brian and I were glad to see Uncle Randy and Aunt Kay -- the drive to their house in the mountains is a very curvy one -- especially for the one (me) who had to ride in the very back of the van.

The boys arrived to find that Rand and Kay bought them each a Mr. Potato Head. They were entertained for a very long time with their Potatoes.

Is that a tractor I hear starting up????

After a wonderful lunch (Aunt Kay is a wonderful cook and always out does herself!), the boys and the boys went to check out Uncle Randy's and Aunt Kay's big dirt hill. And, yes, that is a could of dust -- the boys quickly learned not to kick the dirt into the wind!

And finally the rides on the tractor......Benjamin was not so sure the first time around.

Ethan was hooked and wanted to ride all day.

And, after a few minutes, Benjamin has decided that he prefers a tractor over mom's mini-van.

After many a tractor rides, some dirt kicking, a great visit and a wonderful lunch, we piled in the van and headed south. 10 minutes into our ride home, the boys were asleep. Yes, it was a great field trip!
