Summer is Here!

We got the boys squirt guns several weeks ago and it appears that the squirt guns will provide an endless amount of entertainment (as long as we continue to fill them with water, of course). Here, Starsky and Hutch are planning their next take down!

And, one of the rites of Summer at our house -- how many raspberries can you get on your fingers....

Though our neighborhood pool has been open almost a month, we have not been. It has not really been warm enough for the water to warm up -- we may attempt this week. Hope that everyone is having a great long weekend!

Happy Birthday Uncle Evan - Belated

Last week was Evan's birthday -- don't worry, we celebrated on his actual birthday but I am belated in posting the pictures. We ate a wonderful BBQ place called Jim and Nick's. Great pick Evan!

The look on Ethan's face when he found out that all Uncle Evan wanted was new towels for his birthday -- "No toys" he asked??

Papaw eyeing Benjamin's chicken tenders!

Happy Birthday Evan -- we are so thankful to be able to celebrate with you!

Ethan's 2nd Birthday

(Sorry for the delay in posting Ethan's birthday pictures. I also also want to thank Casey for taking these pictures - Brian's nephew, his wife and their son joined us for Easter).

Though we celebrated Ethan's birthday on Easter Sunday, he thought the whole day was about him. We had lots of outside time, cookie cake and ice cream, presents and our family. I can't think of a better way to celebrate! He loved us singing to him and smiled for all the pictures.

What a sweetie pie! This is the week Ethan has chosen to flex his "independent-2-year-old" muscles -- we are trying to potty train this week and it is not going as I had hoped. Oh, and an update on the flexing of the same said muscle.....Ethan lasted one night in his big boy bed and it took 4 hours to get to sleep. Yes, we put the crib back up and he is happy as can be!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day at our house was a very nice day to play outside. Brian treated Sue and I to steak and lobster tails on the grill. It was wonderful! I think the boy are trying to hide from me and my new camera!

Boys being boys:

Gebee enjoying the nice weather and the boys running wild.

Kids, don't try this at home.

Ethan loves to try and catch the bubbles!

What a handsome boy -- we have been working on how to smile for the camera!

There will be many more posts very soon, as I have time to finally get all the pictures off my new camera!

MMMM....Can you taste the sweetness?

The boys and I went on an adventure today. We went to a local strawberry patch. I would have like for us to pick our own strawberries this year; but, due the way that Ethan smashes his food at the table, I thought that one more year of getting the pre-picked ones was a good idea. It is a great system for those who do not want to pick for them selves -- you call a head and order and pay a little extra a gallon. We took Papaw along for the ride -- and a few berries, of course!

Checking out all the seeds on strawberries and looking at how big they are.

Can't you just taste the sweetness???

Do you think that I will be able to get these boys to part with some of the berries tomorrow to share with Gebee and Uncle Evan??? Benjamin may start rationing them in the morning.

I promise that I will stop talking about my new camera after this, but I really love my new camera and the very cool, quality pictures it takes.

A Trip ITP (Inside the Perimeter)

Brian has been traveling a lot for work. When that happens, Ethan like to "wurk in new office" and he tells us that he is on the phone calling Mr. Carlos (Brian's boss).

Yesterday, we spent the afternoon hanging out with Uncle Evan and Nate. We went to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the boys loved the children's garden. Yes, their cheeks are red from the heat -- it was 90 and muggy! Maybe we skipped Spring all together!

A giant watering can -- perhaps this is how they tend to all the flowers in a drought!

Uncle Evan having a froggy good time!

Thanks Uncle Evan and Nate for a great afternoon -- they boys slept well last night (until 4 am when the thunder and lighting started -- but that's another story!)

Oh, and all of these wonderful pictures were taken with my new camera - I really do love it!
