Father's Day 2010

We spent the day at home relaxing. Brian has been traveling a lot lately and just wanted to hang out at home and relax. (Oh and watch golf!)

The boys love to give kisses -- just not usually at the same time, to the same person!

The boys relaxing watching.......

Yep, golf! They love watching gold with Brian - hmmmm, I wonder if this will spark an interest in their desire to play golf!?!?!

A day at home is not complete with out playing on the floor with daddy.

Note that while Brian is focused on not dropping Ethan, Benjamin is using Brian as a bridge for his monster truck.

Yep, there is that truck again.....

Hope that you spent a nice day with an important man in your life on Father's Day.....Oh, and the night before, I had a wonderful dinner with the other very important men in my life -- my dad and Evan. Thanks guys for a wonderful dinner!

Summer Time and the Livin' is Easy

We have been to the pool several times but I did not take my new camera (lots of potential dangers for the new camera). Brian and I took them earlier in the week and they really had fun. Here is the life of two little boys.....

Yes, he is airborne -- I love my new camera!

Doesn't this picture say it all?!?!? They slept well that night. Speak of sleeping -- guess who is back in his big boy bed? Ethan requested to sleep in his big bed and has been doing so for about 5 days now. He loves it and does not even try to get up. WOW! What a difference a few months makes!

Happy lallygagging!

The Fruits of Our Loins

About 65 days ago (that's how long the tag said it would be until we could "harvest" our goods), we planted a few little things.....tomatoes, banana peppers and red peppers. We added those to our sweet basil, sage and rosemary plants. The boys "harvested" 4 cherry tomatoes last night. Here are the fruits of our loins eating the fruits of our loins......

Benjamin loves tomatoes.

Ethan does not like tomatoes any more now then he did before we grew them -- in fact a split second after this was taken, Ethan's tomato came flying out of his mouth and then he stepped on it!

Farmer daddy talking about how we have to wait until the tomatoes are red before we pick them -- we had a few too eager farmers last week!

We are looking forward to the next harvest in a few days! Perhaps there will be enough to share!

Summer Time Part II

As our temperatures have soared into the 90's in recently, we thought it would be fun to introduce the boys to water balloons. I filled them up only half way and the boys carried them around -- even named them "balloon baby" (Ethan) and "monster" (Benjamin).

The boys held, carried and pushed their "balloon babies" for about an hour and loved it! They seemed to have as much fun playing with the balloons as they did breaking them.

We had planned a beach trip this coming week to the Gulf Coast of Fla. But it appears that the oil has beat us there -- we are going to stay home and play!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had friends from North Carolina come visit for a few days over the long weekend. It was nice to catch up with them and the boys loved having older kids around to play with.

Ethan and his new friend Julia - aka "Dulia" sharing a snack.

The boys were anxious to show their friends the squirt guns. It is amazing how much fun and entertainment a dollar worth of squirt guns can provide. It also keep all the kids busy while the mommies talked and the daddies smoked ribs for several hours -- what a great meal!

Ethan and Benjamin have been "playing" baseball. Look what a superstar Ethan is...

Benjamin on the chase....

The weekend was not complete until there was a round of tickling and wrestling on the floor.

Hope that your Summer is going swimmingly.....speak of swimming -- we made our first trip of the season to the pool. The boys act like they belong in the water! I am sure that swim lessons are in the near future. I will try to get a few pictures of the boys at the pool -- I am hesitant to take my new camera near the water.
